I suck and was not able to maintain posting solidly every day for an entire month. I do have a different plan I am mulling over in my head though.

Okay… So I admit that I apparently suck. I have gotten more then a little bit busy the last week or two and did not manage to keep up with the posting here, even though it is NaBloPoMo. Well, I am still going strong over on mephistos and it is a good read. However, even given my less that stellar performance of keeping things posted daily here on Eligius, I have more then enough to post about. I am going to be doing something just a little different here though. I have not completely worked out the target as of yet, but I am think along the lines of a post a week or two posts a week, maybe even three a week. I think that is much more likely to be sustained, even doing it out through a year, then posting once a day for a month. As soon as I get it completely figured out, you dear readers, will be the second group of people to know. For now, note that I will have a good posting here in just a short bit.

In conjunction with that, there are a few things that I am hoping to get updated here on the site this weekend coming up. As I get those done, I think I will come back here and check them off as a list type of thing and add to this post. By the way, if you have suggestions shot, I am always open on that kind of thing. Lastly, I am also looking for other sites of a medieval/historical re-enactment type to link to from here, especially blogs, but not exclusively.

NaBloPoMo is the idea and with that idea I am getting the site back to being what it should have been all along!

It is the month of November and I have not posted here, well since sometime back in May or June I am sure. At one point I was thinking about just turning it off and at another I was thinking again that maybe a WordPress platform was the wrong thing to use. I got bogged down with work and in between I was too busy with with medieval hobbies, playing with horses, chasing skirts, or just plan old lazy. It all changes today as NaBloPoMo starts.

NaBloPoMo – National Blog Posting Month is what means. The idea is pretty simple and straightforward. Springing from some other month long writing concepts that have been very successful, the idea is make a blog post at least once a day for the entire month of November (it does run other months, but November is the big grand-dad original and special month).

There is no question that I have more then enough material to do it this month and I think my schedule is going to allow for it to happen as well. I will freely admit that is perhaps made a bit easier here at Eligius from the standpoint that I have several photographic entries that still need to be made. On the other hand, while I don’t have to think much about them, putting up the photos is generally more time consuming.

Regardless, consider this a relaunch of the site. Or perhaps, more appropriate, is consider this a reviving of the site and making it active once again. Anyway, check back daily and look exciting stuff this month to come!
